Did they put Dana 60 rear ends in 66-72 A-Bodies?

I was wondering if they put Dana 60 Rear ends in 66-72 A-bodies. I was wondering this because I want to narrow Dana 60 for my 68 Charger. I want to narrow it buy 2 inches overall. I see that a 66-72 A-body rear end width would work with out cutting it and buying new axles. I would just have to relocate the spring perches. Thanks

The A body was never optiioned from factory with a Dana 9 3/4" rear...

I thought the M code (440) Darts might have been but they were only fitted with 727's & 8 3/4 rears....

Maybe the race only Hemi Dart might have had them.....

The 1968 Hemi Dart and Hemi Barracuda 4speeds came with the Dana 60.  Automatic cars got the 8 3/4 rear.

The '68 Hemi A-bodies got B-body Danas. In the pics of factory cars you'll see how wide the rear is.
