What are the physical differences between the 71 hideaways and the 72's?

My understanding is that the 71 and 72 hideaway headlights are different?  Is this something that can be readily seen from outside the car?

72 grill on top, 71 on the bottom.

So they physically mount exactly the same it's just an appearance of the plastic grilles that differ?

Yes, they mount in the same place with the same hardware. The grills are a cast metal with chrome.

Oh?  Are all of the third gen grilles metal?

No, just the hide-a-away grill's, the others are plastic.
