Finally got my new dash bezels

When I first built my Charger I was on a strict budget due to a pending divorce, so I spent as little as I could to get the car drivable and ready for licensing.
One area I was always disappointed with was the dash bezels.
I'd repainted them and they did look somewhat better than when the car first arrived, however, one day I had another '69 in my shop and oh boy, did the dash board look sensational with it's brand new bezels fitted.
Now I've looked at them on the net for ages, but could never justify spending the 400 bucks until just a couple of weeks ago when I sold my Aussie Charger.
I got onto Mike at BE&A Parts and ordered a new set with the radio delete plate. I have an aftermarket stereo so thought the radio delete would be easiest to use.
The parts showed up in just a couple of weeks so yesterday I pulled the dash apart and fitted up the new bezels.

Here's some pics showing how nicely made the bits are.
Last pic shows the comparison between my old bezel and the new one.

Gotta love a '69

Oh and I ended up not cutting the radio delete plate cos it looks too nice.
I repainted my already cut one and applied some chrome vinyl accross the top to match the new ones.

Looks great and the white guage faces really stand out too, now we need the installed pics.  When I put a new bezel in my 67 I couldn't believe how much better the dash looked.

Looks great Doc, that'll really lift it mate  :2thumbs:   Whats next  :smilielol:

I've still got to swap out the 69 radio stippled bezel for the correct vertically lined 68 one, bugs the hell out of me.

Was over at a mates pad today checking out a 70 500, it was the only one I've ever seen with no clock or TTT in the left binnacle, just empty black face with a drawn on circle gunsights behind the clear plastic, detracted a bit from the look, would just leave you feeling ripped off eh

The clock delete was a base model thing I think. I've seen a few like that.
I have a tach mounted in front of my non working clock.

Next job might be new door trims and rear upper pads.

That might have to wait though coz Im heading stateside sooner or later with the funds from the Valiant   ;D

Actually for 1970 the clock was optional across the board I believe.

Oh cool.

I'll get some shots of the dash in the car too.
