After testing my Quantum 1 cartridge (100474) body filler this morning and finding the filler had not hardened in 5 hours at 90 degree heat I called tech support. My stuff was made in April of 2009. My supplier is working on getting me replacement ASAP and contacting their warehouses to remove old stock. To save anyone frustration all Evercoat products have a date code you can check to insure fresh supplies.
There will be a white rectangle on the bottom of the label with 2 lines of code. Top line is an A- with a series of numbers, the first is the year and the next 2 are the month. Example: A-904344 decoded to 2009/04 (What is on my product.)
On cans I found a sticker and my plastic glaze container has an ink stamped number, both on the bottom, that decode the same way. All my other supplies are fresh and should work fine.
Evercoat only gives a warranty for one year so check your date codes guys! Now I have to go scrape stale filler off my car and clean up the mess.  :P

I ran into that same problem when doing my car.
All body repair products have batch #'s with the date, I had trouble with icing/filler and with windshield urethane.

National Tool Warehouse is sending another kit....date code unknown. I bought this "set" of 6 tubes, a nice gun, 12 mixing tips and a tee shirt for 90 bucks. I'm now kinda expecting more stale stock as I asked just for 6 good tubes of filler. I was excited as this stuff is real creamy and flowed nice. The idea was to apply right to the car and spread then move to the next spot to keep the flow in the gun from kicking over. If the new stuff is the same 3 year old tubes I'll have 12 tubes of garbage, 2 guns, 23 tips and another big black tee shirt to give my daughter for sleeping in! All of this just trying to beat this darn Fl. heat!  :eek2:

Nancy at Tool Warehouse had my new "kit" to me by Sat. AM. Although newer by almost a year it also failed to harden.  Sent an email explaining and without asking she issued a 50% refund. (Despite being well past the 30 day refund/exchange policy.) So now I have extra HD caulk gun, plenty of mixing tips and enough money to buy some fresh 100474.  (She also promised to get the warehouses to remove all stale stock.)
