Had a great time at the show, met some new people, was confused with somebody else locally. People kept showing up wanting to see this guy's new car but were surprised when they got closer, which was good for a few laughs through the day as he is a GM guy. :smilielol:

About 200 cars there, no chargers but other Mopars, several nice Road Runners, a 1956 Plymouth, and a sprinkling of new Challengers.

Lots of cars had posters on easels in front of the car with pictures and a lot had additional props, the best of which I thought was the car hop tray on a Chevy.

Learned a few things, wind kept blowing the trunk closed so I'll get a prop for that and something to go in the trunk like other folks had. Judges spent about a minute looking at the car and moved on so I didn't get a chance to speak to them. Got a lot of compliments on the paint and interior, nobody mentioned orange or GL comparisons. Did ask my neighbors for advice as it was my first time out, got similar info to what I heard here most did say that the engine compartment needed more bling and better looking wiring. The Challenger pictured took best Mopar. Best of show was a beautiful hot rod with a fully chromed blower and engine.

Searching for all those parts must be torture.

68blue: nice to hear that you had a good time. Wiring - it's not a 60s Mopar if you don't have to clean up wiring.  :icon_smile_wink:

Ha thats funny. And a RT at that.

The show I was at yesterday gave out 100 awards and not one went to a modern car except the corvette award that went to a 2005 but only because it was the only corvette there.

Props can be a plus or negative with the Judges. Cry baby dolls use to be the thing but now they are fround upon.
People tend to kick, run into and knock down sign boards. I have a peeing dog that usually gets kicked or stepped on.

Over the top displays are usually croud pleasers.

Here are a few sign board displays I saw yesterday.

Not to throw gas on the fire , but best Ford was a 2012 GT 500. Beautiful car, red color on it was sharp.

Going to work on the wiring this week and getting something to keep the trunk lid up in the wind.
