it finally rained. yea!!!!!

yes,  as the headline reads, it finally rained.  on wednesday the hump of the week it rained. that night it rained quite a bit. it was a nice shower. (not that i dont take showers or anything, cuz i do) but a nice steady pouring of water from the heavens above. lightening was flashing like crazy. thunder roared across the land. and then it came. the rain came down like a cool drink of water. i could almost hear the grass singing and dancing as the rain fell. the flowers were laping the drops as they fell past. what a glorious time it was. it came in late, so soon after the start of the shower, it was bed time. but laying in bed and seeing the flashing in the windows , hearing the crashing of thunder, and the rain slamming against the windows was like a serenade in the dark. yep, it sang me to sleep.

I'm venturing a guess that it was pretty dry where you are (to break into verse, that is).

Amen brother!! It finally rained here as well (probably got the same storm that passed over you!) I forgot what rain had felt like....

dan, it has been so dry all the corn is dead. the farmers are crying. we havnt seen rain in months. it was nice to see.
