My car not me! I just had to go out for my mandatory weekly drive this morning, even though the car is mostly stripped to bare steel except for the drivers side in epoxy.  Cops and new Chargers all stared looking hard at my WTF situation. I was laughing sneaking little burnouts here and there. Hopefully next weekend it will be wearing a fresh coat of epoxy primer and I can start on rust patching and section replacing. I'm letting it soak up some sun right now after a 30min joyride.

Damn, put some clothes on that thing!   :icon_smile_big:

Lookin' great, Neal! Keep up the good work!

(Seriously, though. Put some epoxy primer on it ASAP before it starts flash rusting. You'll have to sand the whole thing down again.)

I would look on the net for a nearby Delorean meet and run it by for a quick visit.

Polish it up a bit and put a coat of clear over it...

Be careful about it being exposed like that, flash rust already has formed and you just can't see it. Epoxy it ASAP

It's been scrubbed with a green scrubby and OSPHO for hours to treat the pitted rust spots and pickle the steel. I keep it wet while scrubbing, work in small areas and wipe it off with clean towels till dry then move to the next area. I learned early on down here in Florida about flash rust! I've been "testing" with OSPHO for years, adhesion is good as long as what your putting on top of it isn't made with it's own acid included, that's why I couldn't use SPI epoxy. I never leave it on long enough to film over I keep spraying it with an old cleaner spray bottle keeping it wet and fresh, changing to clean towels constantly.
Right before shooting I'll scuff with 150 grit, wipe down with pre-cleaner prep solvent and shoot the epoxy. This greatly reduces the sand blasting and deep grinding.   :2thumbs:
