I took the antenna out almost three years ago and I'll be damned if I remember how it goes back in threw the fender :shruggy:  anyone know the trick?

i dont know what the pieces are called, but the cable is fed through the fender from the top, when the base of the antenna gets there the half moon shaped piece tilts up sliding through the fender. after it goes through the hole it rocks back flat to pull against the inner fender as the nut is put back on to tighten. :2thumbs:

Yep, that's the ticket. It was a bitch to get the ant perfectly vertical as I tightened down the last threaded ring but it finally looks right. If you don't have that castlelated(sp?) nut mamopar used to crank down this nut and the remote mirror nut, use a big pair of angle nose needle tip pliers. Wrap the tips in blue painters tape and all around the fender hole and go slow and easy. Even with the protective tape " aw crap"s can still cause untold misery.  :Twocents:
