Not a wheel its a wheelcover.  Used on C-bodies but fitted to the early press 500's for reasons known only to Dodge.  Aesthetics I suppose?

Possibly but I would think production dates on the press fleet cars preceded the September 13 recall date, no?

I have 2 of those wheel covers and they are in perfect shape! They also weigh a ton!!!!! I did not know they put them on Chargers.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

This car was sold many years ago to somebody in Wisconsin. I now am retired and living in Florida.

Those wheel covers rock! I love the commentary in that video.
I may be schizophrenic but at least I have us!

"Our best 1/4 mile time was 14.1"  Even with the old bias ply tires they should have been able to do better than that.  Dosen't look like they were trying to control wheel spin at all.  Just a smoke show for the camera IMHO......

Just so you know e car in the video was coded for the w23 wheels but has been wearing those wheel covers since it was first sold. Well it's not wearing them now but they are stacked close to the side of the car currently

Cool, no head rests but had the chrome pieces. Wander if he is related to Jack Webb, just the facts, Webb would have sounded cool doing that report.
