Stationary Patio Glass Replacement

I have 2 stationary panels and one sliding patio door. The 2 stationary panels have lost there seal and fogged up. I don't know the manufacturer. I went outside and removed the trim around one panel. It seems they were set in place and glued or something or heavy duty double stick tape. The panels are 32" wide and 74 " tall. I have the 2 replacement glass. Anyone here have any idea?

Those fixed panels, and the slider, are 2 sheets of glass bonded together around the perimeter with either a vacuum or and inert gas between them. You have to replace the entire panel.

The manufacturer, through the builder, just sent the glass. Am I stuck getting a glass shop?

I would that way you know it will be installed correctly and have some recourse in the future were that needed.

Had mine break last year when a stone got thrown from the lawnmower blades.  I had to order a whole new stationary panel and had it installed by a glass shop.  If all you have is glass then yes you need to find a glass shop that can install the glass in the frame, vacuum between panes or add gas and then install that all as one unit.

I stopped by the builders supplier today and learned something new. The glass panels only have heavy duty double stick tape on the frame and the glass is just pressed in. I need to take a razor blade or thin knife and cut the seal and push the old glass out. Put the tape on the frame and press the new glass in.  I think I lucked out this time. My builder and window manufacturer are both out of business.

The housing explosion did the builder in. He only did high end homes. No, mine is not high end, but comfortbale.
Yes, the windows are crappy but I did not know the manufacturer until this happened.

That was pretty easy. My wife and I completed the whole thing in just over 3 hours.
