Posted this in the RTSE area, guess not the best spot, thought this was interesting.

Well my black beater RTSE made Stillwater, OK Hot Rod power tour facebook cover page section. Lots of cars there at the show, some said around 3000-3500 cars..... either way lots of cars, that's cool. Interesting post question is what would you do with this project.  So I guess it is related to the very polar opinions I hear, such as: restore because it's rare, leave it as is...it so cool or other wide varying opinions depending on the age, collector status or other PIC profiling statements.  Although I have owned the car about 15yrs, the car has been together driving for about two yrs with the body crusty, old interior pieces and the balance of the car's operations all new or rebuilt (wiring, motor, rear, ac, etc, etc).  They say you can't restore them all, in part, this was a way I saw to scale down one project's cost and still have a cool beater like I saw as a kid in the 70's.  In my case, my plans remains for this "project" is .. I am "done" for likely a very long time except to go have fun and beat on it some. (ok... after I make reliable the PW's at one corner and finish ducting/controls for the modern AC).

Regardless, cool to see my car singled out of a huge number and land on a website in a moment of time, first time for me (well actually it's not me, one of my cars :smilielol: :smilielol:).

I met up with Kenny once, they were able to limp the Charger to Madison.  From there I never saw him again.  He looks different with his short hair!

Should read the blog from the daily happenings on the MoPowered Tour.

And 2000! pictures from the Tour.

I made it, just not when I wanted to. I finally met up with the Power Tour in Champaign IL after several set backs. It's a LONG story that I'll post up later, but in a nut shell my car had vapor lock issues and my buddys motor blew up. I ended up driving a total of 4,000 miles and it was a lot of work, but also a lot of fun.

I saw you at the hotel in Urbana. Didn't realize you were having issues. We were running late ourselves and you were on the phone, otherwise I would have said, "hey".

Funny thing was, you walked by and I mentioned to my oblivious buddy who you were. He says, "Oh, you mean the guy who's jacket I just picked up?"  He had to "wiki" you after that. LOL

Glad you survived anyhow.
