need to find info about NOS Mopar alt PN 3780589 still on sealed Mopar box

states 100 amps on box, and a decal saying 100 amps on pulley ( double ) but I don't think that is true.

how to find info about this alt PN.

 According to the 73 parts book you are correct, something is not right. Alternator #3780589 is shown as a 60 amp.

EDIT: I think I mis-read the book and spoke too quickly. I see the 3780589 is shown as a replacement for single and dual groove units, so perhaps it is a 100 amp service replacement for the original 60 amp one :shruggy:

this that I got is with lates kind case where stator is more "inside" the both halfs housings, and wider assembly. On 73s still got the cases with stator right in between like earliers, so definitelly is a newer replacement than 73s... in fact 76/77 and lates where I think was the first appearence for these alts kind
