The original owner is not known.   I have the information on the person we bought it from.   He was not the original owner.

The vinyl top could have been added at any time during the early 70's.        It did not have mouldings, and since it has been 35 years, I honestly don't remember if the holes were there.   But the roof was rusty around the rear plug and had been painted over gloss black.   It would lead you to believe that it had a top on it at one time.   

We also owned another Daytona with an aftermarket vinyl top.    These kinds of things were not as rare as one might think.
