heres a pic of my shifter mechanism i tried shifting through the gears with the car off and its not really doing a whole lot of anything. i inspected the mechanism and it looks like a bolt or something is missing going from front to back. is this just a normal bolt or is there a bracket or something too that goes with it? thanks, Mike

There should be a bolt in the hole that holds a plate across those two tangs on the mechanism...

yeah thats what i thought :brickwall: any idea where i could get that plate?

You might be able to call Hurst and tell them the parts you need - the bolt passes through the entire vertical lever portion and passes through the missing plate - I believe this acts as a pivot for the shifter to pivot to different shifter locations...    allowing you to shift.

Let me dig around and see if I happen to have any spares kicking around.  :scratchchin:
