"Need help on 70 headlight door assembly"

The car never had the original headlight motor,I bought a new one.
Now i need to buy or make the headlight door cover rods any input on this?
Got any suggestions?

NEVER had the original?  Maybe you meant that the original was gone when YOU got the car?
ALL 70 Chargers had electric headlight door motors UNLESS they were part of the "body in white" racing program. The rod that operates the doors is a single unit that spans from door to door while passing through the motor in the middle. It is tempered spring steel and flat on the edges. You could probably make one or have one made at a spring shop.

The guy who had the car before my customer bought it
had modified 2 window motors on each door assembly.

So the car never came with the rod assembly, Now i have to make or try to buy one.

Does anybody on here that reads this have one i can "Buy"

I don't have a source but '71/'72 rod is the same...may give you more options
