Does anyone have a picture of this combo? Just wondering how it looks. I'm sick of the 295s on my 10 inch rims rubbing the fenders.

I run a 295/65/15 on a 8" Weld Prostar with no problems,,,,,
Tire looks HUGE...and really fills out the wheel well.........
go for it.........
(i also run super stock springs) :icon_smile_cool:

Your problem is most likely the backspacing.   5" backspace on 10" wheels is usually good.  Most wheels "standard" backspacing is between 3.5" and 4.25".   You would normally have to special order the right backspacing.

The tire bulges too much, I don't like the way it looks.

it also depends on what make tire it is. For some reason they are a few different sizes. I have some specs if you need them.

295/50/16 on 8" wheels. I think they look ok.

Thanks for the pics, I'm thinking of trying to swap the 10 inch rims with some 8 inch ones and keep the 295 tires because they are still good.

depends on what body you are using.  if it's a 2nd gen charger, then 10 should work fine, maybe you backspace is off?

It is a backspacing problem, I think the backspacing is 3,75 when it should have been 4,75.

the combo I showed has 4.5" backspace.  I probably could have even gotten a bigger tire in there if it was 4.75"  there is stil room in there.  Those are 16" wheels, BTW, so on 15's you should be able to rent out the extra space in your wheelwells to a gearhead in need.

Clausoe..

I fit 325/50R15 drag radials under my ride, then again im using the SS springs so my car rides higher. The rims are 10" wide and have a BS of 5". I also have another set of rims/tires, there I have the same problem you have with tire rubbing. The BS on those rims are 4.5" and thats just not enough, it would need to be 5" if you want to have a good fit for the 295 tires..
