My brother sent me these photos. . .

Is that a recent wreck? DANG !! How hard do you have to hit something to shear off the entire front end! I wonder if that car had a different front clip welded in, (TERRIBLY) and it broke apart diring a collision.

It's a recent wreck, the guy was going 85+, and the driver has his leg in a cast. That's all  my brother was able to find out.

I'm not sure where this happened.  :shruggy:

surmanajaja

driver is alive?!! :o

very lucky man. maybe the car had some rust where the firewall meets the front sub? I once bought a car that was inspected safe and it was moving around there when driving, when you drove over a puddle of water you could see the front tires tracked different than the rears from the marks.. :flame:

tan top

glad the guy made it out  :yesnod:  big wreck though  :icon_smile_blackeye:

Holy shit  :o :o He may have hit the pole just right and it sheared it in half like that, Unibody cars tend to shear like that upon impact of poles I have seen it before.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Mike DC

It must've been clipped at some point, or compromised somehow.  Otherwise I don't see how it could've come apart like that without the rear 2/3rds of the car looking a lot worse.  Cars don't normally just break in half without bending a whole lot first.

Hemidog

Holy smokes! that guy should count himslef lucky if he only got his leg broken!

Poor Charger but lucky boy ! I can't imagine the shock...

Maybe it had the very rare 'break-away cockpit' option.  ;D

:o, If it did have a poorly welded front clip, only thing that saved his life.

No kidding. That might as well be an ejector seat. I can't believe he lived without a miracle. If my Charger were in that kind of accident, I would assume the worst.
