Hi guys were back again. After putting some of the parts back on our 440 we have found  that the pulleys are not lining up. Is this supposed to be. The crank pulley is about an 1/8th of an inch further out than the power steering pump pulley and the water pump pulley and altenator are off as well. Basically none of them are lining up exactly. All of these pulleys were the originals from the engine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mopar Madness

Ken, you need Mopar part # P4510283. That is a spacer that sits behind the crank pulley, that should line you up.

Chryco Psycho

sets of pulleys are also available new from Year One & others as well

Hi Ken,

Are you using the same balancer or have you swapped it out with an aftermarket unit ? If it is the same balancer, make sure that the balancer is pressed all the way in on the crank snout. If you don't have a harmonic balancer installation tool you should get one...or you can make your own out of threaded rod, a big flat washer and a large nut.

thanks firefighter, we are using the stock dampner, and we have now fixed all of the problems. There was paint on the water pump that caused the pulley to sit crooked so it only appeared to be out of alignment. As for the power steering and the altenator only minor adjustments were made :icon_smile_big:
