That is an awesome looking Fury and you are a lucky man to find it. Awesome price on the bodywork and paintjob too. I have spent more just on the paint on my Charger let alone having it painted as you have in the paintjob.
My Mom bought a new 1968 2-door Sport Fury while I was in Vietnam and it had a 383-2bbl motor with 2.76 rear gears and an automatic tranny in it. Great car and got decent mileage back then too. Well, when she got a new Gran Fury in 1972, my brother bought the 1968 Sport Fury from her and put a '69 440 HP with a 727b in it but left the long gears in it. With the 2.76 rear gears in it, it was not much off the line but it just got stronger and stronger as you got higher in the rev range and it would bury the 150mph speedometer in the old Sport Fury. Great fun at highway speeds as it would really scoot from a 55mph roll ! He said the only thing to ever beat him on a topend run was a 455 Grand Prix that must have had some work too.
Enjoy that old '66 Fury and I am envious. :-)

Thanks for all the complements Guys. Have a few little issue to work on before I can take it out cruising. Hope to have them fixed and be cruising it soon!  :2thumbs:
I pointed to two old drunks sitting across the bar from us and told my friend
"That's us in 10 years".
He said "That's a mirror, dip-shit!

Headliner and Vinyl top all done. Just have to get the Brakes working better and its ready to roll. Already have the rears brakes rebuilt with new lines, now onto the fronts.  :2thumbs:

Is the big plymouth signage because people keep asking what it is?
