i have a 440 thats 10.5:1 compression .545 lift cam,

well anyways i need to get myself a bigger cam, I found 2 that interest me. one is a 850 Speed Demon carb, the other is the 870 Holley street avenger.

anybody ever run the street avengers with any luck? Any recommendations of which would be better for my engine?

thanks

I have the same cam in my motor and probably a similar build. I called Barry Grant and they asked me many questions about the build, gearing, weight, use ect. They recommended the Mighty Demon. I can't believe the drivability of the car. The throttle response is wonderful. I will always run Demons. Just call them and talk with them. You might be pleasantly surprised.
If it ain't wide open; it ain't running.        Rule number one in motocross racing: Pin it; row the gear box; and wait until you hit something.     At work my motto is: If you need me, call someone else.

The 830dp with annular boosters is an awesome street/strip carb. The fuel curve on the holley dp carbs is well suited to agressive cam profiles.  :icon_smile_big:
