guys need some help.  trying to wire up an electronic pertronix ignition conversion in a 69 charger 318.  it says to bypass the relays and reisters for a full 12v.  where can i do this.  i connected my power wire to the blue with white stripe on the firewall next to the bulkhead connector.  but no start.  any ideas, did i miss a resister.

I think there a 3 versions of the Pertronix Ignitor available.
With version "one" you likely need the ballast resistor, with version II and III you don't need the ballast resistor, check the Pertronix web-site with manuals.
You have 2 wires to connect to the Ignitor module, the +12V from the ignition switch, and the other wire to the negative terminal on the ignition coil, check the Pertronix web-site.

Hi Cowboy, Is this what you're trying to find out?
I put a procomp dizzy and coil package on my old 68 318 Charger, worked fine , bear in mind some units are different, gives you a start point for reference though

thanks for the reply guys.  i have been going over my instructions.  im trying to install the ingnitor 3 setup.  it says by pass the resisters which i thought i did by tapping into the blue and white stripe wire from the firewall bulkhead.  i believe it was junction N.  just no firing even after i checked to make sure i have power to the coil

guys.  looking for a tap in for a true 12v power.  i need the power to come on and off with the key for the ignition jumper.  any ideas and locations to find this source.

The blue wire at the ballast resister on the firewall is the best place to connect to for 12v switched power

Ty sir def tried it but it wasn't a full 12veven before the resistor

Oh, oh...  :P  you should have a full 12V at that blue wire.  Hmmm,  :scratchchin:  check to see if you have 12V at the output stud of the alternator (with the engine off).  If you don't have 12V, then there's something wrong somewhere between the battery and the alternator... and that something quite often is the bulkhead connector.  If it's the connector, it's likely what's causing the voltage drop at the blue wire... but let's wait to hear your answer first before jumping to conclusions.   :yesnod:
