Anyone ever catch this show on The Discovery Channel? Have only seen one episode over the weekend and it looks like it may be worth watching. It is a junkyard that also restores cars and sales them at auction. This episode in the background I caught a '68 and a 3rd gen, not sure what year.

Their prices are outragous as well.  Went out there to visit a friend and we took a ride to DVAP.
Ha, I took almost that same picture of the Chargers.
Unbeliveable place.  If you want good sheet metal, they have it and want a lot for it.  Anything else is pretty much junk from the sun.

Yea..I watched the show when I was in the hospital for 6 days last year....kinda bad when they say they "restore" a car to sell at one of their auctions....

the prices they get are really high for the parts they sell

bunch of scammers to me

You have to be pretty much willling to bend over and take it like a man when trying to buy parts there. In 2001 I called on a 70 Charger fender. $500 plus shipping to Sacramento. Later I called about rear window channel since my car was rusty there. I got quoted $500 again. What is NOT $500?

I went there when I live in Sierra Vista (Ft. Huachuca), and was not impressed at all  :rotz:

Plum Crazy 68

There used to be an old wrecking yard on HWY 395 in Adelanto CA that had tons of cars.  They used to take all the parts off before crushing the shells and stack those parts against the back fence.  Haven't been there for years but all the parts were perfectly preserved by the desert climate.  Just have to watch out for snakes. (Real snakes not the owners of the yard)

Yep seen it again, That was an older show, the kid cant drive & the restorers at DV are pretty much hacks....

Agreed Budnicks.. The terrible thing about the show is that they actually start  with decent projects and then it goes down hill... The show sucks and should be canceled and they should be out of business or stick to selling gm stuff
