Stating now the Tebow to Jets deal could be off because Jets would owe money to Denver? Regardless this upcoming NFL season is going to be exciting!! Can't wait for it to start!! I could watch football all year round.
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

Yes BUT....
"although in the aftermath of the revelations about the Saints, current and former players from various teams talked about that sort of thing happening frequently"

It's like saying only one NASCAR team bends the rules...

True, but they sent a message and it's a pretty obvious one.

yea, its kinda like the steroid controversy in baseball. it started with a couple and landslided draging lots of players in.

I agree, and I think they'll find more evidence and come down on more teams, players and coaches.  I think this is just the beginning.  Pandora's Box has just opened.  Regarding the Pats and the cheating/video taping scandal, they got off way too easy.

Yeah, the quote on the local NYC sports talk AM radio show this afternoon basically said that the Jets agreed to the deal verbally and released their press release before they actually read Tebow's contract.  Leave it to the Jets to screw up a deal that was dumb to begin with, all soon after they just signed their QB1 to a multi-year and multi-million dollar extension.  Doh!   :slap:

So Drew Stanton wants out of NY now, he was signed just a short while ago to be QB2 behind Sanchez.  I don't blame him.  Also, the Bears picked up Michael Bush and apparently they now have an unhappy Matt Forte on their hands.  However, the big news of the day is the US Senate is now calling for hearings to investigate the NFL bounty scandal.  Can't they find something more productive to do with our time and tax dollars?  Goodell has shown he is handling this, let him handle it.
