This should could be in the Ebay section but I am more interested in the topic of concept cars. I saw an Ebay ad for what is claimed to be a concept car Dodge Mirada. It got me wondering how many concept cars may have escaped destruction.......like the 99 Charger Concept...Anyone know where that ended up or has it been destroyed?

here is the eBay ad that got me thinking

Story seems a little fishy......"Hello this is Chrysler Purchasing.... if you are interested in buying a one of a kind Concept Car please meet us at the back lot of our super secret contractor after dark and bring small unmarked bills"

Shakey

Looks almost like a 1981 Imperial.

thats what I thought when I first saw it.......i thought someone was trying to pass off a Imp as a concept car

Hey Shakey, here is a bit of trivia for ya.......do you know where they built the 81 Imperials?

Shakey

Save me the hassle of looking around the www and trying to look samrt.   :icon_smile_big:

Where were they built?

BTW, I always liked the car.  I think it was pretty sharp.  A friend of my Father's had the Frank Sinatra edition.  Fancy!

They were built in Windsor......just down the street from where the Mirada/Cordoba were built......plant has since been leveled and is now a Burger King.

is it me, or does it look like somebody just modified a Mirada to look like the concept car, rolled back the odometer and posted a really high reserve?

What can I say........we Canadians have big appetites!!!!

Seriously though.......it was a small plant I will have to ask a few of my family member who work there how much of the car was built there.....I have a funny feeling it started off in the plant the Mirada and Cordoba was built in than shipped down the street for final assembly into a Imperial.

I think I hijacked my own thread!
