Front suspension "natural" color help

I just had my front suspension sandblasted and ready for paint.  I have read several threads about the correct colors for the components as I am trying to keep it as original as possible...within reason.  My question is: for the parts identified as "natural color", I have read about using paints that are natural metal colors, using oils to protect the raw metal, or using an anti-rust protector from Eastwood.  I am looking for the best direction. How were they done from the factory and did I mess up the natural protection by getting those components sandblasted?  I like the idea of the natural look, but don't want it rust covered in a couple years from moisture.

Any guidance or experiences would be appreciated...Thanks!

Thanks E5 Charger!  I have been reading up on the product and not yet found any negative comments.  I think I will go down this road as well.  How long has it been since you applied it? any issues in the process?  did you use a heat gun, hair dryer, or over?  My wife is protective of her oven so option 3 is out for me...  :smilielol:

I haven't used it yet. I will be purchasing all new suspension pieces this fall and will apply it on the new parts. I've only read good reviews on it. Looks like a heat gun is all you need. I like the fact that you don't really see it when it's dry. I should do a test piece to see how it performs.
