At the flea market today I picked up a very nice FM converter with mount for 5 bucks for my 74 Charger. Got home mounted it under the dash, hooked the hot wire to acc spare fuse, plugged it into my radio, hooked the coax from the converter to my radio....................and nothing.
While trying to figure it out I thought I would run my AM radio through the channels to see if it had to be preset. Sure enough it had to be preset and got me all kinds of FM stations. I love it. Crisp and clear.  8-)
So you guys that want FM on the cheap with your AM radios buy one of these. Well worth it.

Nice job...I have to look into something like this for the 68.  BTW, the charger looks great!

Thanks Mark. Hope you've been well. It's been a couple years since we communicated.

My 73 had one in it when I got it... Took it out and put in a correct am fm but it really doesn't work any better than the converters did.

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

I have one in my 68. I took it out of a 68 ford ltd I once owned. The ltd was my grandfathers and he had it installed shortly after buying the car new. It is much bigger in size then the ones sold in the 70's. Still works great. I hide it in the glove box.
