Couple questions about my car?

Couple of things I've wondered about that I "was told early on..."
On the title it was listed as a "You drive it" Florida tittle, I was told by the owner this meant it was picked up at the factory. (?)
Someone said/told me A: "It was Canadian made"  and B: that means it could very well have a 318 ID number but have come with a 383 as mix ups happened?

The "you drive it" disappeared off the then 16 year old tittle to my new one when I transferred it into my name 17 years ago. The other stuff I just dismissed as well meaning but wrong, but everyone was insistent it was a 383 as delivered for 3 owners back. (I never found the original 1st owner.)
The VIN ID for engine changed from 69 to 70, what WAS 383 in 69 now was 318 in 70, I did come across some small round white stickers on the car that said Made in Canada in red with a small red oak leaf on them but just figured that part was made there. However my car is a very early production date of like Sept of 69.  :shruggy: I'll have to dig up the build plate I removed for safe keeping.  :yesnod:

What is the engine code in your VIN?  THAT is the engine your car was coded to receive.  No classic Chargers were made in Canada.
The white sticker with a maple leaf is a more recent thing, someone has added them to the car at some point.  The plant where your car was assembled is also coded in the VIN.  Why don't you just give us the first portion of the VIN (without the last 6 digits) and we'll tell you this info.

It's a 70, I've decoded it with my FSM, that was how the point about all this came up. (Even the fender tag.) Steve, the guy I bought it from 17 years ago bought it from Scott (I know them both) 33 years ago. He bought it off Paul, (Who I don't know.) that was who started the "it's a 383 car" story and he bought it from the original owner.
I figured Paul put a 383 in it around 1976-7 and just to get more money told them it's a 383 car. With the very limited information available to them I figured it was BS but an honest misunderstanding. (Except for Paul.)
The whole "Made in Canada" thing may have come from Paul also but later some local Mopar guys told me the other BS about VIN/ID Plate-Canadian made= mismatch components could happen thing, kinda confirming what Steve thought he knew. If Canada never produced Chargers for the 70 year model (I never heard of any.) That is all put to rest.
I'll find the fender tag and post the VIN together and your welcome to look them over.   :2thumbs:  (I just have to recall what box the fender tag is in!)
