Carburetor help... after cleaning

Guys... just completed my first complete carburetor disassembly, cleaning, and re-assembly (Eddy 1406). Everything went back together fine as far as I can tell. However, I didn't change anything else and as soon as I hooked the carburetor back up as it was before, I started it and it jumped immediately to around 4,000 rpm. I checked the throttle linkage and everything looks good. I can't figure out if something may be stuck inside or somehow I missed something during the cleaning/reassembly. I was hoping you guys might have a few ideas. I'm pretty sure it's a rookie mistake... just can't figure it out...

Check and see if the high idle cam is bound up.

Check your throttle cable adjustment as well. Make sure there is no pressure on it.

Check and see hi the high idle cam is bound up.

yup. more than likely, you'll need to re-adjust your fast idle screw, or you may have set your electric choke a bit leaner than you had it before, thus bumping your cam up a step or two higher.

Thanks guys. I'll double check the choke and the idle screw. I appreciate the advice. It's my first time and went well except for turning the key... Haha.
