Gidday Charlie,

Welcome to the place with the most Charger info in the known world. Dont mention the new 4 door cars that share the same name and you'll fit right in  :D

Yep, I imported one from Idaho via CA from a wanted ad I had on here and on Moparts, the previous owner is a member here as well and is a pretty genuine guy. I used a Kiwi guy who is based in Perris CA as the inspection and shipping guy, he has found and shipped quite a few cars for mates of mine and is good at his job but expensive. I had to fly him up two states to inspect it and transport it back and prep it for shipping, if he'd checked it out and turned it down I would trust his judgement and move on to the next car. He ships worldwide.

Buy the best car you can for the money it will save you more dough in the long run than a full on project, but bear in mind, an original type car will still need repairs and replacement of parts to get it roadworthy no matter what, its an old car - it will need work. In the price range you are looking at there will be something available sometime, be prepared to wait and wait and do get it inspected, too many horror stories out there from people ( mainly foreigners ) buying cars sight unseen off "specialist muscle car yard restorers and ending up with a pile of steaming and expensive crap

The payoff is driving it   :musik010:

Or, if you're after something a little different for the same amount of fun coupons, a tough and sorted GenIII, then I reckon it would be hard to go past Chryco's blue 440 4spd 71 Charger ...

Flick us a pm if you want to talk
 Bob

Hi charlie,
I'm in Scotland too, Ayrshire. Hope you find something nice soon, and I'll bump into you at the shows.
Dunno how many early Chargers there are here, so the more the merrier.
Good luck, Mark
