What boosters will interchange with a charger, I was looking at on off of a 73 Dart/duster, and other than the brake pedal link and a bracket that mounts on interior side of firewall thats removable, it looks similar. Would this work on a 69 model?
I have heard of people upgrading/using the boosters off later model cars, ie....diplomats, aspens, etc. to have the 2 studded boosters and use the MP aluminum Master Cyl. Is this a good conversion? Has any one done it?

Thanks,
Jason

They do look the same but.....

My 68 had power drum brakes. Local parts store said $115.00 plus core deposit for a rebuilt booster. But the booster for disc brake cars was over $100.00 more. I don't know why the booster for drum brakes wouldn't work.

So I pulled the booster of my front disc brake 75 dart parts car and found out the stud/bolt pattern is different on the back where it go's threw the firewall.

I did split the boosters apart and mounted the back half of the 68 booster to the 75. The diaphragm stays with the front half. After all this work I can hear a vacuum leak at at the booster when I shut the car off.

I would have been ahead just buying a reman. unit.
Still looking for 15x7 Appliance slotted mags.....

The best conversion is to pull the booster off and throw it in the scrap pile. Manual brakes + front discs = :2thumbs:
