Here is a picture of my speedometer and TicTockTach when we disassembled my Charger. Notice the miles on it ! This is an original and numbers-matching motor that only needed a .0030 overbore to clean it up after sitting for over 35 years in my garage. Professional rebuild on the motor brought it back to life nicely.

I bought the Charger in 1976 with around 78k miles on it and it was permanently retired in my garage in 1981 with the shown mileage on it now. I was the 3rd owner of it and I bought it from a friend of my brother's who had owned it since 1971 is what I have been told.

What kind of miles did your resto have on it when you bought it

Here is a quick pic of the man responsible for bringing the motor back to life (a few internal new parts but still only a 432 cu.in. motor) and a pic of the dyno sheet after the rebuild.

Good stuff Tan Top.  I have always liked your car in your avatar.

terrible one

51,096 . . . probably 151,096 given the "well-used" condition and the fact that I know it was on the road until at LEAST 1984  :coolgleamA:

Cooter

All my cars were either missing their original speedo's, or were well over 200K mile, busted pieces of sh*t.

Can't remember what was on the clock when I bought my car as a project in 2006, but it went on the road with 0 miles showing as I had the instruments rebuilt and the odometer zero'd. Now has around 8500 miles showing.
Gotta love a '69

Fred

original mileage showing on mine when I got it.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Fred

I was fortunate enough to get hold of another dash that I could convert to kilometres and have the odometer zero'd which has enabled me to keep the original as is.

300Km, that's cool!  :2thumbs:

I assume you modified it, as 150 miles would have been about 240 Km??  :popcrn:

Yeah..........240 isn't fast enough for me  :smilielol:
But seriously,  the speedo reads correctly. Haven't copped a fine yet.
