I know there are several folks here who are great at decoding VIN #s, and I am not one of them - still very much learning. Would like for someone to decode this one for me.

I know how to read vin's I just don't know how to tell when a car is more rare than another one.

Rarest are generally Slant Six with any transmission. Followed by small block then 383 2bbl stick shift cars. The "least rare" will be 318 automatics. None of those are particularly valuable though. So, from a rarity PLUS value perspective: R/T Hemi 4-speed, R/T Hemi automatic, R/T 440 4-speed, R/T 440 auto, and 383 4-bbl 4-speed. Any year that had the 440 Six Pack as an option would probably slot it between the Hemi and 440 4-bbl. These are very broad generalizations of course. Certain colors are more rare and certain options can increase rarity (disc brakes, 6 way seat, A/C, rear defrost, SE).

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

Got me there. I'm not exactly familiar with anything after 71 - and definitely not once the options all started getting jumbled. I do know that 73 had one of the highest production totals ever so that doesn't bode well for rarity. The 340 probably helps - although everything was down on power by then.
