Help with a Photoshop project

I was hoping someone here might want to help a buddy out with a little project. It shouldn't take too long for someone to do if they've got Photoshop. I tried knocking something out with Paint and what little I produced seemed to take forever. Below are pics of both the official seal and my project. What I'm shooting for is a war-torn revamp of the first example. More of a ragged arrow head, real-looking arrows and feathers and a tattered red shield. Not sure exactly sure how to describe it but one example I can think of is the Extreme Lee with the war-torn numbers and flag.
