I know it's off subject, but everytime I see this car <Few threads now> I picture mine when I pass away. Someone needs to buy that poor girl and restore her.

I think it just looks funny because of the rubber around the plexi glass, I agree it does look weird but I would have to bet the car is the real deal.

Unless that tag is from a different car it must be the real deal.  I'd love to have that one!

that tag is from that car all right  :yesnod:  ..even though the cruse control is gone under the hood , you can see where it was :yesnod: look at the B51 power drums , & its got the aftermarket replacement master Drum cylinder

That's a cool find. :2thumbs: I'm glad they didn't bugger up the sunroof opening to make that plexiglass fit.

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Guys be leary of this one. There is something just doesnt look right about the sunroof. And it isnt the plexiglass..

my thought is that it didn't look original either but thats just me, and why the orange fender tag and yellow car??? the tag would of been painted when the car was painted if it is THIS cars tag

all the sunroof cars i've seen seem to have the sunroof alot closer to flush with the rest of the roof, yes i know PART of the engine campartment is orange but most of it is black..............

The only way to know for sure if this is a legit sunroof car would be to take some measurements of where the sunroof sits and compare it with an original. You guys think this fender tag is from a different car?

I agree...something is really wrong with that sunroof.  The pic of the motor inside looks off too. Not sure what to make of that one   :shruggy:

I was thinking the same thing, but I went back and re-read the ad. The original sun roof panel is gone and the hole has been sealed up with plexi-glass and that rubber seal holding it in place.

         Hey,

Looks like it's back on Ebay again. Is he correct when he states approx only 50 cars originally painted hemi orange in '69?

I dont think I'd trust his source of info since he thinks hsi tag should have M51 on it :rotz:

Havent seen any printed material on exactly how many were built...if so I have 17 or those "50" Chargers registered (excluding Daytona's)
