 :brickwall:

Things are generally going well with my suspension replacement. Everything came out relatively easy (I guess having road grease covering everything has one positive!)  :icon_smile_tongue:

I can't figure out however how to remove the front strut rod. I got the bolt off the lower control arm, but the bolt on the K-frame just spins the rod. I can't grip it with anything anywhere I can see unless I gouge them with chanel-loks or something. Even then I'm afraid that's not going to work. I tried putting the bolt on the other end but they both spin off the same direction. Any help here would be appreciated!

Thanks!

I had the same problem. I put the nut back on the LCA, tightened it somewhat, then removed the front bolt on the rod, then removed the LCA bolt again.

I'm sure there's a better way then that to do it though.

Figured it out. I used the torsion bar removal tool to get a grip on the strut rod, and was able to un-bolt the other side. Woot!

Search comes to the rescue again, I have the same problem didn't loosen the nuts before removing the suspension from the car. I have a torsion bar tool so I'll give it a try on the strut rods.
