fluid for transmission

just rebuilt trans in my 69 charger, it is a 727 tourqueflite, behind a 383. what kind of fluid needs to go in it, and does it need any kind of additive added? thanks for any help on this.

Dexron was the original factory fill and the current Dexron/Mercon will work. Some use type F, I prefer a 50/50 mix of type F and Dexron.

Even though it's often recommended, I wouldn't use the current ATF+4.
