WHERE DO THE 2 CAPILLARY LINES ON THE EXPANSION VALVE CONNECT TO, OR GO TO, ON A 1969 CHARGER. ONE HAS A NUT, AND THE OTHER, IS JUST THE LINE. ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRICIATED.

THANKS, CRAIG

The curly one clamps to the evaporator return line to refer temperature back to the valve. The one with the fitting goes on a fitting to an internal line sensor on the stock tube-you may not have that.

DOES THE ONE WITH THE FITTING, NEED TO BE HOOKED UP?

THANKS, CRAIG

Yes, and please stop shouting.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Ok, I pulled my service manual.

Here's a pic to make it clear. The tube goes inside the evaporator line in a well, the fitting senses pressure inside the line-disregard what I said above, it's for modern TXVs.

If you don't have both connected, it will not work properly. You can use thermal tape to wrap the well sensor against the outside of your pipe, if it's a good contact and protected.
