Heres my cam card.

I degreed the cam and came up with 108°. According to my cam specs, it should be 106°, correct?
Is this acceptable? I wasnt thinking when I bought the Cloyes rollerchain and didnt get one with keyways.

It is a choice you can make.  Most seem to believe that 4 degrees advanced is the best place for the cam timing, but it really depends on several factors.  Even then, you need to test to see what the car likes the most.  It hard to tell any difference between 2 degrees.  If it is a 4 spd car, I would just leave it. If it is a low compression tall gear, tight converter car, I'd think about 104. :Twocents:

500" NA, Eddy head, pump gas, exhaust manifold with 2 1/2 exhaust with tailpipes
4150 lbs with driver, 3.23 gear, stock converter
11.68 @ 120.2 mph

I have to agree with this line of thinking....it's a 4spd car so just run it at 108+ icl and call it good  :2thumbs:
