Whys does it matter what you car weighs when it comes to stall speed??  I just started thinking today at work, if more weight makes you need a higher stall, what would a converter off of a motor home do??  Would it be "too high", or would it be a cheap upgrade from the stocker i've got now?
--keep in mind, i don't know squat about 727/converters, so if somethings flawed with my logic, please point it out.........

A motor home is cammed and designed to run at low speed with bottom end power. Probably not what you want.

your logic makes sence, but like ralley mike said, the combo in a motor home would be way off.

if you have the same convertor in a 3000lb car,and a 4000 car,the heavier car will stall lower,at least thats how i understand it.same as if your engine makes more torque,it will stall higher than a lower powered one

The weight of the vehicle has nothing to do with stall speed, stall speed is dependent on converter size and the power input. A motorhome converter, year-for-year is no different than the equivalent passenger car converter.

Mopar discontinued the 12" converter in '77, so any '78 or later 727 will have the 11" converter and the 11" stalls higher than the 12" so a late motorhome 11" converter would be better than an earlier 12" passenger car converter.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.
