OK... here are a few things i notice about my engine....

1    water drips out the tail pipes
2    adjusting the idle screws on the side of the carb do not make it stumble
3    pulled the plugs and they were black and gritty
4    when you shut the car off the engine makes a thud and shakes

now for the pertinent info....

bought a rebuilt long block from a guy and he said it was internally balanced... yes i should of ripped it all apart and had it all checked but i didnt.... fluidampr... 488 lift comp cam with a 106 centerline.... oil pressure steady at 50 PSI at idle... fuel pressure steady at 5 PSI... MP electronic ignition... 750 vac secondary holley carb.... compression is 9.5 to 1 with 452 heads.... 1 7/8 inch headers...... can provide any other info needed.... just curious as to what others think....

Thanks in advance
Bill

sounds like an internal leak in the Holley , either a bad gasket or a blown power valve , pull off the bowl /S & see if the vacuum port for the power valve is wet , I bet it is & change the gasket & possibly the power valve as well , the tunability will immediatly return
