I've only had her for a few months but I sure had a ton of fun with her.  After a 4 hour drive she was put to bed...after I yanked the cluster, a/c controls and dash bezels to restore over the winter.   :icon_smile_big:

Here's a few pics of her on my driveway the evening before I left and a few in her spot for the winter.

I wish I could take credit for it but it's not my garage.  I couldn't back up far enough in my garage to get the whole car in the picture because of all the mess in there!   :icon_smile_big:

Ya got a few more weeks out of her than I got out of mine.  :2thumbs: Don't know about you but I am dying for spring already.  :eek2:  My garage is a mess too (I will blame that on the kids  ) so I figure from the car's standpoint it's like a vacation.  :P

Spring can't be here fast enough.  That's why I brought the cluster and such home, not only will I have a clean dash to look at in the spring, but it brings the car a little closer.  At least I can do some work on it.

I also grabbed the woodgrain steering wheel.  It's in good shape but it can be better so hopefully I don't mess it up.

I plan on going up to see her around xmas and get the radio and possibly the carb to work on over the winter. I have heard that it's not a simple task to get the gauge cluster out so you must have spent a few hours pulling when you dropped her off since you said it was stored like 250mi away?

It's pretty easy. I think I spent most of the time looking for tools.
Took me about 30 minutes to remove the cluster. radio bezel and trim above the glove box.  Another 20 or so to remove the a/c comtrols and 15 of that was trying to remove the small clip holding the temp cable in place without breaking the slider.

There's 3 nuts holding the steering column in place under the dash, loosen those all the way but leave the nuts on the studs.  Now you can move the column down a good inch.  Remove all screws from the cluster and slide it forward, angled towards the side window.  Watch out so you don't crack the bezel when it snags on the lower dash pads.  Carefully pry the vacuum connector off the light switch and start disconnecting the electrical wires and light bulbs.  My speedo cable popped right of before I even reached it.  If yours doesn't, lift the small tab on the side of the cable connector and it'll come right off.

Radio bezel is 3 screws and pulls right off, upper glove box trim is attached with speednuts so remove the glove box liner and reach them from behind.  I had to remove the actual glove box door to get the trim off so that's another 6 phillips screws.  I don't have the glove box liner installed so saved a minute there.   :icon_smile_big:

Oh and please disconnect the battery before you do anything or it might be the last time you see your Charger in its current state!

Thanks for the pictures  :2thumbs: I'm glad I live in a place where I don't have to put my vehicles in hybernation for the winter.  Now I just need to get it licensed, registered and insured so I can drive it.
