I've recently accidently discovered 3 other '68 Chargers within an evening walk's distance from me. 2 look like they haven't moved in a while, though one looks like it could with aired up tires and reasonably clean. The third was in a local shop but I couldn't stop to check it out.

I'll say it first, "THIS THREAD IS USELESS WITHOUT PICTURES"

That should motivate me to get out and get some.  :icon_smile_big:

Wonder if one of them is my former '68 Charger? Andy owned it too at one point..... It was all over West Palm Beach during the 80's...... I know.. it was my daily and only car.......

One is the blue/white top car I posted a while back. One of the new ones is also a blue/white top car, but it was dusk and I'm not sure of the shade. The third I only saw the tail, but appears to be the same as mine, silver/black R/T.

Very unusual to have several Chargers in such close proximity, much less all the same year.  Start a club....

Ok, limited intent to highjack lovely 68s here, but that is close to my old stopping grounds also, my first also mmmm 69 Q5 383H in Miami/Coral Gables in 1984-87.   Do you know of that car?

Good grief, if that is 3-68s in one mile radius of yours, yours making 4.....wow this is almost over populated Chargers maybe... like a chevy-ford or something :smilielol: :smilielol:

Yeah and, we just brought another project '68 down from Vero Beach to start for a customer...he should pop up in here any time-that will make 5, plus I know of 2 '69s (one from this forum) and a '70 I see about twice a year.
It would be very cool to get them all in one place.

Where I live, I know of at least 3 '68 chargers within 10 to 15 miles of me.  One of them is sassy grass green with black and belongs to a member of our car club.  One is Orange with what appear to be dealer installed door ding protection strips down the side, and is owned by a semi-local guy who I usually see at cruise-ins and local shows.  The other I have not seen for about 3 years, but was at that time all primer gray with a demonic mural airbrushed on the air cleaner (what appeared to be an original hemi oval air cleaner.....).  That one came to a few cruies-ins from about 2007 to 2008, might be painted by now but have not seen it since I got back from overseas in Januray 2010.....

Funny thing is, I almost never see another '69 here though.  My car club president has a real Daytona   :drool5:  , and another local guy has a clone Daytona  :scratchchin:  ....  :drool5:  , but I don't know of any standard body '69 chargers in my area.  I know the Dukes wrecked 300 or so and thousands were crushed for scrap, but they seem to be more rare than I thought (or people just don't ever drive them...).

We usually have some show up for our annual mopar car show, from out of town.

I guess I know now, why I got so much attention when I first brought the car home and started driving it around.     :yesnod:
