I am sure you have heard of the Stone soup HEMI Roadrunner!! One of the big radio stations restores a car every year & sells tickets to make money for the poor. What you would be voteing on is for that car to be a 66 CHARGER

It's a charity car they raffle off in Detroit each year.  A local radio station puts it on.  Hurry up and vote before it's done and we'll explain later!!!!!

The details are created in later polls by the station.

The "Stone Soup" cars are a huge deal in Detroit...  I'll try to get more details...  They are basically custom built cars with the blow by blow resto details being broadcast daily on the local Classic Rock station.  They ask people for parts they need, and get many, many donations.  The cars are always awesome, and then they are displayed at the Woodward Cruise and auctioned off for charity.

It is a really cool thing to see...

By the way, these guys do give credit where credit is due.  Some guy donated an Air Grabber Hood if I remember correctly, for the "Stone Soup" Road Runner a year or so back, and he was famous for a day for it!  I believe Mopar Peformance donated the 528 Hemi.

These cars are what we all dream of doing, but mostly cannot afford to do!!!!!!!!!!

Each year starts out with the voting for what car will be used for the project, that is what this voting is for today!  Basically, it is a voting battle between the Mopar, Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, etc lovers...

Here's their story:  (and the correct link is WCSX.com)

"Three years ago we were wondering what would happen if we built a car for the Woodward Cruise - then raffled it off for the Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan...and with that, the Stone Soup Project was born. Built entirely from donations from great listeners like you, the Stone Soup Project has raised over $675,000 for CLF.

In 2003 it was a 1967 Mustang, 2004 a 1970 Roadrunner...and in 2005 a 1965 LeMans convertible that you decided to turn into a completely "restified" GTO clone...what will it be this year?

And I believe for last years GTO clone, General Motors also donated a brand new GTO to the winner.
