For better or worse it seems Fix It Again Tony has helped Chrysler, which posted a 27% increase compared to the other 2/3 of the big three which had only single digit improvements.

VW topped them all with a whopping 40% increase. :o

I haven't really seen many new Durango's at all here on the road. Mostly Chargers, Rams and Grand Cherokees. The Caravan's and Town & Countrys are selling like hot cakes though.

Good to hear............that's great news!  :2thumbs: up for Chrysler

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Actually, I think the "hot cake" is the Journey.

Industry wide it has to go up.   The crushed-to-sold ratio has been pretty tight for a few years now.

I still look for Ford to have financial problems within the next year or so.   While they told the feds FU on any "bailout" money they too  could not refinance debt a few years back when the banking fell apart. That was the biggest reason Chrysler needed the money was it could not refinance some debt that is a normal thing big companies do. The banks fell apart and would not do the financing.  Time will tell ..............

Title of this is a little misleading..... not total sales, just the % of increase in sales, which is quite different. Still good news.

My guess on the increase is in minivan sales...

The 1500 Ram 4x4 series is almost half the price, that of Fords.  Ford wants 35K for a 1/2 ton truck..Ram's are 22K.

Gotta be a difference in package for that kind of discrepancy... or "end of year" sales?

Ford makes better vehicles anyways... I bought a new Ford in '08 and glad I did.

I wanted a Ford also, but they would not match the price of a 2011 Ram, or come close to it. :brickwall:

One year ago I went shopping for a truck and got a F150 for the price of a new Ram.  The biggest difference though was I got a 4.6 Liter.  I liked the fit and finish much better than the Ram.  Plus the gas mileage was an issue for me.   :2thumbs:

Starting to see more Challengers on the road near me :shruggy:
1969 Dodge Charger 500 440/727
1970 Challenger convertible 340/727
1970 Plymouth Duster FM3
1974 Dodge Dart /6/904
1983 Plymouth Scamp GT 2.2 Auto
1950 Dodge Pilot house pick up

I've been seeing allot of Jeep Cherokee's & Chargers lately a few Challengers, since they closed our local Dodge dealership a couple years back now, I don't see any were near as many new Jeep, Dodges or Chrysler products... Lots of Ram trucks...

In the last few days driving around, I've been paying more attention about cars on the road and there are a crap load of new Cherokee's.  :2thumbs:

I've seen a lot of Journeys with temp tags.  But, researching it a little, Chysler is citing Durango and Trucks as the big sellers.

I've only seen a handful of new Durangos since they came out. :shruggy:

They are "giving" them away here in KC.   22K for a 1500 Crew Cab Ram 4x4 Hemi. Ford want 35K for the same thing.

I agree, if Chrysler sold 1 car last year, and this year they sold 2, then their % increase will be 100%, and if Chevy sold 1,000,000,000 cars last year and then sold 1,010,000,000, their increase would only be 1%, even though they sold ten million more cars.

When are the US Auto manufactures going to learn to survive in a world market you have to produce more models in  right hand drive, then you have the rest of the world to sell too. When is Dodge going to dump the Four door Chargers on us over here as they would sell very very fast.
