What happened to this LCA pin?

I pressed the pins on to both of my LCAs. I installed everything and then I noticed this. How could this have happened? As hard as it was to press them in I can't believe it came  out this much. Am I going to have to pull it back off and press it back on or there some other way?
Thanks,
Lee

Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

Is that what it's supposed to look like?

Rubber. I don't remember what it looked like when I put it in. It may be right. Does anyone have a picture of theirs?

John,
You are correct. I found a picture of the lca pin and it is correct. I don't know why I thought it should go in further. Combination of old age and crappy memory I suppose!
Thanks for the help.

Yeah, it looks like it should go in farther.

But take a step back and look at the larger situation.  If that pin was all the way in, the LCA itself would scrape against the K-frame wall when the LCA pivoted.
