Where does this connect to on a 68 with 440?

Do you want factory correct, or just what works?

I always ran the battery ground to the engine block, and from that point to the frame. I run a ground strap between the radiator and chassis too, so it's not electrically isolated.

Here is a 69  --  68 is the same. It always goes under the return spring bracket.

you should have a dual strap , the heavy lead to th block as the picture shows the smaller pigtail to the rad wall @ the headlight ground

Not on a 68. That didn't start until 1970.

The second strap is on the back of the block to the firewall - Up to 69.
