About a year ago I restored this one from my hometown Dodge dealership. It's not a famous Dodge dealer, doesn't even say Dodge on it, but I grew up around the place and it has a lot of sentimental value to me. They went out of business back in the late 90s and the owner sold it to another guy who ran it into the ground after about three years so finding their frames has gotten pretty difficult. I found this one in a wrecking yard near Enterprise (Eastern Oregon) and straightened it and repainted it with a black background for use on the Charger one day. I also bought some good used period-correct Oregon plates to go with it.

Ignore the dates on the pics, the camera was goofed up...

As you can see, Courtney's was right across the street from the Ford dealer. The Ford dealership is gone too. Here's the old Jeep work truck they used for years (with a Courtney's license plate frame ;D):

That's cool, that is a good story behind it with the local dealership, and and you seem determined to be using those frames. Pretty nice and straight forward looking!

Those Enterprise frames would look cool with NCC 1701 plates.
Gotta love a '69

I'm running regular black & white plastic ones on my two drivers. My Duster has PIONEER CHRYSLER (in Mission B.C) and my Magnum has REGENCY CHRYSLER (in 100 Mile House B.C). Both dealerships have treated me good so I decided to put those two on the cars.

That would be a cool project to do and you would have a fun truck to drive around when done.  :2thumbs:

This one has been on a few of my cars now.... I talked my cousin out of it when it came on his 69 Charger about 12 years ago. I restored it and I think its kinda cool .....

I prefer old period correct when available. I keep an eye out at swap meets for matched pairs.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

One of my cheby friends handed me the Direct Connectiom frame back in the 80's, it came with a cheby number 1 vanity plate :slap:

I still have the original metal plate frames from where both our 66's were sold new

One from "Lake City Dodge" in Seattle which the black 66 was sold from, they are long gone now
and one from "Dishman Dodge" in Spokane where the cream 66 was sold from

Still have the original license plate frames, that is pretty cool.
