If you care about handling at all don't go there. radial desigh was a huge improvement. I had (redline) bias plys on the Charger for a couple of months and hated them. Felt like you were sliding around all the time.

Put it this way,if you haven't driven with bias ply tires before you are in for a treat. My opinion,it makes you put the skill back in driving but that is just me.

bias ply tires suck in my opinion. They like to follow the groves in the road if they are bad enough. "Felt like you were sliding around all the time" is a good statement.

I was just talking to someone a few days ago about the same topic & there is no comparison between the two types. I had many cars years ago with bias ply tires, & the first time I went to radials from bias ply on the same car, it made it feel like two different cars. It's a drastic difference that can only be realized by driving on them. My friend's Superbird has a set of bias ply tires & they absolutely suck. I think they were one of several factors in putting the car into a guide rail last summer.

If you want an old tire look, I've seen red lines & older style white letter tires now made in steel belted radials by Coker.

I cannot understand why GoodYear is not making a Radial GT with the old Polyglass GT lettering, all it would have to say is Good Year Radial GT with the same lettering, and everybody with a Muscle car would buy them, you know looks like a polyglass drives likes a radial!

I totally agree. I want to build a Vanishing Point replica and I love the look of the solid Polyglass block lettering over the outline lettering of today tires.
