i was playing on a video game and put this front end on the charger. it makes it look like a 2012 charger should. think the body work can be done? and what do ya'll think about the looks?

Purple68

I think the side view is horrible, the front is not so bad though.

X2 and I'm not a big fan of those kind of rims

Anything can be done, the cost would be brutal.

Nice but looks like it's trying to look like a 1st gen camaro.  :Twocents:

headlights would be hidden like the original headlights were. its just the front end is dropped to help reduce wind resistance. and positive criticism would be nice, rather than "stupid is as stupid does" it's different than everyone else's charger that's what drew me to like it.

The whole idea looks a lot like the front end of the Ford/Mercury aero-models that beat the Charger 500 and caused the Mopar wing cars.  Personally I have come to think those FoMoCo aero-mods were more elegant and practical than the wing cars.

its not wrecking a perfect shape. it's modifying it. looks close to the daytona but it's got headlights. same concept. reduce wind resistance to the front of the grille, and in turn improve airflow to the radiator through the addition of the lower air dam, resulting in cooler running temps at high speeds. i'm not saying that i dont like the front end of the charger as is, i'm saying i think it would give others a window of opportunity to give the charger its muscle car name back in the modern world.
think of it this way, the new charger is downplayed from what it was in the beginning. it WAS the face of nascar, now it's an everyday sedan. i think it looks new and when pulling up next to a new challenger the best part is that the charger is made of steel, not fiberglass and plastic.
i see it as an opportunity to show people how important a REAL car is and that new muscle can never be matched with old american steel!

I'm not so sure this design would benefit that much for a couple of reasons. 1) the total frontal area profile is unchanged. All you've done is rearrange the furniture in the room, so to speak. 2) the recessed grill design is still going to generate lift. This was a big problem with the origial charger grill. Your design is smaller so lift would be less and may be offset by the massive chin spoiler, but will still be there, hence will create drag.

To me, this actually looks more like the '75 Cuda nose, which wasn't particularly attractive to me, but hey, to each their own .
