Brake bleed problem '83 Shelby

After replacing the 2 front calipers on my '83 (wanna be) Charger, I can't seem to get the brakes bled right. Fluid's squirting out of both bleeding screws, but once everything's tightened up, the pedal falls right to the floor and car doesn't stop at all. I put in a new master cyl. thinking that might be the cause, but the pedal still in the same.

I've worked on/bled plenty of braking systems, but this one has me stumped. Any thoughts on what I might be missing?

By the way. The pedal felt fine and car stopped well prior to the caliper change. I replaced 'em cuz the pistons were sticking a bit and overheating rotors.

Do you have the replacement calipers on the correct side, with the bleeder screws facing UP?
If there not, you will never get all the air out of the system.

That's exactly what I was thinking...

It's been a while since I put calipers on my '83 Shelby, but I seem to recall they had the copper washers between the brake hose and caliper. You didn't leave those out did you?

I've always said, if there's a way to put something on backwards I'll figure out. Yup, I mixed the right and left side up. I swapped them and all is swell now. Thank you all for the speedy help!  :2thumbs:
